Blog4 (continuous) : Narrative








On Monday 25 January  I studied unit two "Narrative "about language Features of Narrative ,reading for general  idea , reading for  detailed information and summarized  story.






                    Then I studied about Language Features included   specific participants(Major are human or animals) , material (action verb) , mental (said /felt/thought) , linking verb( verb to be), linking words to do with time (then /next / later) , dialogue (change to present or future) , Descriptive language (by creating images in the reader's mind) ,used first person:
(I/we) or third person(he /she /they).



                  After that I studied reading for general  idea and summarized the Secrets story with a partner.This was summary of the  first part of the story 
      "Kylie felt left out from her mother and Philip's activities. She became interested in the chickens in the yard. Somehow her secret helped her to felt less lonely. She found a second egg and then found out where others were being laid by anunhealthy-looking hen.Her secret became bigger everyday. When she was left alone , she often shared secret with the hen. She always thought about her father when she looked at photographs."




                  This was summary of the  second part of the story
"Kylie watched the hen was sitting on the ten eggs. She took 
the lid off the well. She started to went down the well with
her photo album every day. She watched  philip and her mother and wondered why her father was not with them.
Philip discovered her in the well and hit her. Kylie throw
the chicks down the well. Kylie hit the hen and throw it down the well. She chose one special photo which made her felt good. Kylie cut off her head from the special photo and throw it away."




                Later, I studied writing of skill about people in this story,then talked  feeling  about the secrets story.
"I thought  the secrets story was good story because it taught
that I you were not as terrible as you thought you were. You should thought before you would done. It wouldn't have problems."




                      I  talked about completing Kylie's circle diagram
with partner,then the answer  was  any differences because I wasn't sensitive to smells,left alone or felt excluded from the 
world of adults. But Kylie was  sensitive to smells,left alone or felt excluded from the world of adults. I really felt sorry for kylie was very childish. I  talked about the story's symbols with other students.
I  thought that the eggs was  starting point of happen and 
curious to know things. So Kylie went down to the well.

to my parents.



      

            
               Finally, I thought talked  feeling  about the secrets story was very easy. But I  thought summarized the Secrets story with a partner was  difficult. The best way to got into reading was simply to read freely and practiced  from the News or novels. This practice helped me develop a feel for writing. My attitudes towards the lesson was not  easy.

Blog3 :Narrative








On Monday 18 January  I studied unit two "Narrative "about purpose  types  text organisation and language Features.
The purpose of Narrative was to entertain. Types of Narrative
were typically imaginary but can be factual such as mysteries
romances, science fiction, fables and moral, fairy stories.







Then I studied about Text organisation of Narratives. The 
focus of the text was a sequence of actions.They include orientation(introduce to the main character), complication and resolution.




After that I  talked about my childhood memories with my 
friend. I studied reading for general  idea and reading for   detail information about the first part of the story and practiced writing skill such as wrote fairy short sentences.




   
 Finally, I thought reading for  detail information  was very easy. But I  thought reading for general  idea was  difficult. The best way to got into reading was simply to read freely and practiced  from the News or novels. This practice helped me develop a feel for writing. My attitudes towards the lesson was not  easy.

Blog 2 (continuous) : Recount





On Monday 11 January  I studied unit one " Recount" about Factual Recount.
          The Factual Recount were help the reader reconstruct the activity , the ending describes the outcome of the activity, required  to provide precise information, detail of time-place
-manner may need to be precisely stated.
          It may be appropriate to include explanations.It use of third pronouns(he /she/it/they)and passive voice.





            Then I practiced writing  relevant words about Factual Recount (News report and Police report) such as investigate,
police station,criminal,robber,statement,property,arrest,
accused,witness,announce,cop,prisoner,inform,jail,burglar,
bandit, offender,case,lawsuit,procedure,reporter , record,
handcuff,sources,defraud, security.




                After that  I practiced  answer the question about News report(5 Vietnamese held for stealing) Police report (Investigation report).




            Finally,I think practice writing relevant words about  Factual Recount  was very easy.But I  think practice  answer  the question about Police report was not easy. 
         The best way to get into reading was simply to  read freely and practice from the News or novels. This practice helped me develop a feel for writing.My attitudes towards the lesson was 
instinctual positive. I  felt confident when I was faced with a variety of writing task in and outside of class.

Blog1 : Introduction & Recount












On Monday 4 January  I studied unit one " Recount" about purpose  types  text organisation and language Features.
The purpose of Recount was tell what happened.  Recount was reconstruct past experience and the unfolding of a sequence of events over time. 





Then I studied about types of Recount were personal Recount (retelling of diary)  factual Recount (recording of report)  Imaginative Recount(taking and
 giving details of events). I studied  text organisation  of Recount  were orientation series of events and personal comment.




     After that I studied about language Features of Recount were 
General(Specific participants/Linking words/Action verbs) 
personal Recount (Use  first pronouns/ add interest) 
factual Recount(Use third pronouns/passive voice/
reconstruct the activity/mention of personal felling)
Imaginative Recount(Use first person/include personal).




         Finally, I practiced scanning  for the specific information  of Recount. I read text (such as Furious pace in Hockey Finals, Our trip to the Blue Mountain , My Grandpa's Funeral in Toraja , An Excursion to the Botanic Gardens)and answer the questions. 




        I think answer the questions about Text  was very easy.But I  think scanning  for the specific information  of Recount was difficult. The best way to got into reading was simply to  read freely and practice  from the News or novels. This practice helped me develop a felt for writing.My attitudes towards the lesson was not  easy.
