Blog 7 : Procedure






On Sunday 28 February   I studied unit four "Procedure"   about purpose , types of procedural texts , text organisation
,and language features.The purpose of procedure was to tell
the reader how to do or make something. The texts were 
usually written  in the present tense.



Next I studied about types of procedural texts. It included
texts  explain how to use instruction , text instruct how to
do a particular activity, text deal with human behaviour.
I studied about text organisation. The focus of  instructional texts was on a sequence of actions. It included goal(the main heading) , materials(listed in order of use) method (steps).
This  was Blueberry Monte Cristo recipe.



After that I studied about language features. It included 
goal(clearly stated), materials, method,recipes (ingredient / method), games instructions (how to play/rules of the game/ method of scoring / the number of players), 
scientific experiments (the purpose/equipment/procedure
observations/conclusion), the reader(pronouns: you/one),
action verbs , simple present tense , linking words to do with
time (connect the text).




Finally, I studied about how to make a banana shake, recipe for banana cake,how to make the omelette, recipe for chicken soup , and then user instructions. I thought  types of procedural texts was very easy. But I  thought language features was  difficult. The best way to got into reading was simply to read freely and practiced  from the  recipe book and Iron Chef. This practice helped me develop a feel for writing. My attitudes towards the lesson was
not easy.

Blog 6 (continuous) : Descriptive









On Monday 8 February   I studied unit three "Descriptive"   about Question of descriptive. I studied  text 2,text 3,and text 4. All text included text 2 was the Budapest, text 3 was Prague ,and text 4 was next-door neighbors.






                      Next ,I studied about text 2. It's  tourists and attractions in Budapest.The author's purpose in writing text  was described Budapest and tourists. The genre of text was descriptive. The Budapest located  on the Danube River in western Hungary. The oldest part of the city was Buda.



 Tourist attractions in Buda included  the Buda Castle, the citadel , the National Library, the Castle Museum ,and the National Gallery.Tourist attractions in Pest included Baroque architecture, Museums, the Millennium Monument, and colonnade. Tourists could shop, visit, the zoo,see performances at theatres and Concert halls, have a meal at traditional restaurants.   



 Next,I studied about text 3. The text told about Prague. The author's purpose in writing text was  described the city of Prague and its uniqueness. The text organization/generic structure for text consists of general classification and description.All adjective intext included Famous, wonderful, modern ,old ,memorable, lively, crowed, special, sleepy, gentle,and unique.



Next, I studied about text 4. The text told about next-door neighbors were  Bert and Doris. The purpose of the text was to describe people.All appearances of Bert included  tall , clear blue eyes ,athletic,fair curly hair,and a square face. All appearances of Doris included tall green eyes, good-looking,fair straight hair, and a round face.All characteristics of Bert included talkative ,not selfish, patient, tolerant,and ambitious.All characteristics of Doris included smart ,audacious, generous,and helpful.



Finally, I wrote a paragraph to described a place with friends.I thought studied about text 3  was very easy. But I  thought studied about text 2 was  difficult. The best way to got into reading was simply to read freely and practiced  from the News or novels. This practice helped me develop a feel for writing. My attitudes towards the lesson was not  easy.

Blog 5 : Descriptive







On Monday 1 February   I studied unit three "Descriptive"   about purpose  and language Features.The purpose was   describe and reveal a particular person ,place, thing.The 
kind of text helped visualize and understand a topic and 
then explained the characteristics of the subject or topic 
and uses details.




Next, I studied about language Features of descriptive.
It  included  using attributive and identifying process, adjective and classifiers in nominal group , simple 
present tense.I studied generic structure.
later, I studied identification and then it was identifying 
the phenomenon was described. I studied description 
and then it was the phenomenon in parts, qualities,or/
and characteristics.




After that,I  talked about description of green darner dragonflies, description of Ants and description of 
Komodo Dragon(Varanus Komodoensis). and then
I read descriptive text and answered the questions 
about description of Komodo Dragon.




Finally, I thought  answered the questions was very easy. But I  thought talked about description was  difficult. The best way to got into reading was simply to read freely and practiced  from the News or novels. This practice helped me develop a feel for writing. My attitudes towards the lesson was not  easy.
